Child Safety Standards

Our standards against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). Last updated 2026-06-05.

Adults-only platform

RishtaConnects is a matrimonial app intended exclusively for adults aged 18 years or older. Account creation requires the user to provide a date of birth, and our backend enforces a minimum age of 18 years at the point of registration. Any account that fails this check is refused.

The app does not target, market to, or knowingly host any user under the age of 18. The Google Play and Apple App Store listings declare a target audience of 18 and over, and store-level controls block younger users from installing the app where supported.

Prohibited content

The following content is strictly prohibited on RishtaConnects, and any user found posting, distributing, soliciting, or attempting to share such content will have their account permanently removed and may be reported to law enforcement:

• Any image, video, or written depiction of a minor in a sexual context (Child Sexual Abuse Material, CSAM)
• Solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes (grooming)
• Sharing or requesting personal information of a minor
• Sexually explicit content of any kind, regardless of subject age
• Harassment, intimidation, or coercion of any user

How we prevent and respond

• Age verification at signup. Date of birth is required and an under-18 entry is refused at the API level. This check cannot be bypassed by the client.
• Phone verification. Every account requires a working phone number that receives a one-time password via SMS before the account becomes active. Disposable and fake numbers are filtered through Twilio Verify Fraud Guard.
• Photo review. Profile photos are screened for inappropriate content before they become visible to other users. A verification photo is required before a profile can be shown in match results.
• In-app reporting. Every profile detail screen includes a Report button. Reports are reviewed by the safety team and acted on within 24 hours.
• In-app blocking. Every profile detail screen includes a Block button. Blocked users cannot view, message, or send interests to the blocking user.
• Account removal. Confirmed violations result in immediate account removal. Repeat offenders are blocked by device identifier and phone number.
• Legal escalation. Any suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to applicable law enforcement authorities in the jurisdictions of the developer and the user.

• Email us directly at the contact below.

We respond to all reports concerning child safety within 24 hours of receipt.

Policy review

This policy is reviewed annually, or sooner if our product surface or applicable law changes materially. Material updates are communicated through the app and on this page.
